FUNCTIONS OF AMERICAN SOCIETY OF MILITARY COMPTROLLERS
EXECUTIVE BOARD AND COMMITTEE CHAIRPERSON

NOMINATIONS COMMITTEE (appointed position)

The chapter President should appoint a nominating committee not later than the February meeting of each year.  The committee should suggest names of members for nomination for chapter office so that they can be announced at the April meeting.

In accordance with the Washington Chapter Constitution – the offices of President, Secretary and Treasurer rotate annually by service:

  • Air Force
  • Army
  • Navy
  • Marine Corps
  • OSD
  • Coast Guard
  • DFAS

The following timetable should be followed:

  1. Chapter year is 1 July – 30 June

  2. Formulate slate of Officers with one nomination for each office by the March Executive Board meeting.

    • President                                                annually

    • Secretary                                                annually

    • Treasurer                                                annually

    • Service Vice President                             bi-annually (even years)

    • Service Assistant Secretary                      bi-annually (odd years)

  3. Distribute ballots at April luncheon/meeting

  4. Tabulate results by May Executive Board meeting and announce results at the May luncheon/meeting.
