Morning Speakers and Panel
·         Opening Keynote  DEPSECDEF Bill Lynn and USD Comptroller Bob Hale will provide their insights into the state of DoD financial management and discuss how the FM community can best support warfighting forces deployed around the globe.
·         Morning Keynote  Navy RADM Bill Burke of the Director of the Navy’s QDR Cell will discuss the latest insights and directions of the DoD QDR, with particular emphasis on impacts on the DoD FM community.
·        Measuring Performance in DoD  What is the status of PMI  efforts in DoD? How will DoD manage the transition away from NSPS and what is likely to replace it?  Join this session to hear Executives discuss important topics related to Performance management in DoD.
·         Luncheon Keynote  DUSD Paul Brinkley will discuss the latest developments in Iraq and Afghanistan related to establishing a solid, indigenous economic and business base in Iraq and Afghanistan and where the FM community contributes to those efforts.
Afternoon Workshops
·         DoD Audit Report Card  Several Defense organizations and agencies have already received audit opinions.  The USMC is the first of the Services to undergo an audit of their Statement of Budgetary resources.  The USACE has several years of successful audits under its belt.  USMC and  USACE  Executives will provide their views on the process and provide some advice for those on the path to audit readiness.
·         E-Commerce in the Battlefield   Juan DeJesus will discuss the Army’s initiative to remove cash from the battlefield.  This innovative program is changing the way the FM community supports the warfighter in-theater, provided faster, more reliable and secure funds transactions.
·         DoD Financial Imperatives  Mark Easton, the DCFO of DoD will give his view from the Office of the Comptroller on the status of various financial initiatives underway in the Department.  A question and answer session will also be included in this workshop.
·         Warfighter Needs from the FM Community:  LTG Jan Huly USMC(Ret.) former Deputy Commandant of the Marine Corps for Plans, Policies and Operations will moderate a panel of operational commanders in which they will discuss what they need from the FM community.  This workshop is a unique opportunity for members of the FM community to hear first-hand what operators expect of them as well as provide an opportunity for questions and answers.
·         FY2010/11 Budget Update  Always a popular workshop at the regional PDI, JR Roth, Deputy Comptroller for Program and Budget will provide the latest information on FY 10 Budget execution and issues associated with the FY11 Budget submitted to Congress.  This workshop is designed to give attendee an appreciation for the budget challenges faced by the Department in terms of impact on the FM community.
·         End to End Business Processes - the Inseparable Future of Auditability, Financial Management and Business Transformation  Mr. Preshant Gaur, Director of Enterprise Integration at the DoD Business Transformation Agency discusses Acquisition, Logistics, and Personnel  where financial resources get utilized for the Warfighter.  DoD will consistently achieve auditabilty only when we capture the financial transaction at the source and maintain its integrity end to end.  Mr.  Gaur will discuss how these intuitive processes tie together SMP,  BEA, FFMIA,  performance metrics, data standards, auditabilty and financial systems, and how they are being used today  to enhance contractual and financial integrity in the theater.
·         Future of Integrated PerPay What does the future hold for the intergration of pay and personnel systems in the DoD? How did DIMHRSS further the goals of an intergrated paypers system? How does the new DIMHRRS strategy fit into the DoD roadmap now that each service is developing its own paypers system using the DIMHRRS core? This panel discussion will provide insights to these questions and more.
 
·         DoD FM Workforce Development and CFO Academy Update  This workshop will provide attendees with the latest initiatives focused on developing the skills of the DoD FM workforce. Secretary Hale has made FM Professional Development a major focus during his tenure as the DoD Comptroller and appointed Ms. Sandra Gregory his special assistant in this matter. This workshop presents a unique opportunity to hear first-hand from the DoD executives closest to this initiative, Ms. Gregory and the DoD Comptroller Chair to the CFO Academy, Ricardo Aguilera.

·     NCR  Speed Mentoring - Calling ALL Rising Government Financial and Resource Management Professionals! Join us at from 1615 to 1715 for our Speed Mentoring Event. Speed Mentoring is a unique opportunity for rising ASMC members ("mentees") to meet with senior ASMC members ("mentors") to ask specific questions about career strategy, balancing work and family, training and education, and other topics. "Speed Mentors" will host a small-group discussion of up to six participants for 15 minutes per round on a round-robin basis.
