Gary Maupin

CFO Faculty Chair for the CFO Academy, IRMC NDU

Mr. Maupin is the CFO Council Faculty Chair for the CFO Academy at the Information Resources Management College (IRMC) at the National Defense University (NDU) where he teaches and assists in the development of the new Academy. He has been an SES since 1985, serving as: Special Assistant for Financial Management to the Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Research, Development and Acquisition) and Comptroller of the Office of Naval Research; CFO of the U.S. Department of Commerce; CFO, Savannah River Operations Office, U.S. Department of Energy; and most recently, as Deputy Administrator/CFO of the Food & Nutrition Service (FNS), U.S. Department of Agriculture. His responsibilities have included: planning; budget formulation and execution; accounting; financial reporting, including financial statements; grants; and business systems, among other responsibilities. He has an MBA from George Washington University and is a CGFM.
